Eligius Kiyoko, the current Fifth of Tower of Babel was born to a wealthy home. His parents, Haruto and Diana both remain very powerful figures within Japan. Haruto is the Minister for Finance, and Diana the Chief Justice. Despite their wealth, their careers forced them into being very absent parents, leaving Eligius to be raised largely by a team of butlers.

But this absent parenting didn’t stop Eligius from thriving as a child, living freely and remaining popular amongst his peers. One day at the age of nine, he stumbled across a vial of ambrosia on his land and consumed it, obtaining a Godsend. Being the age that he was, he was unable to partake in Wargames legally and so, unbeknownst to his parents, he competed illegally in the unsanctioned leagues.

These unsanctioned leagues were underground fighting rings known to be rife with criminal activity, and so age was not an issue. Eligius at the ripe age of eleven began to compete against fully grown men, and developed a large enough reputation for himself that by the time that he turned thirteen, he was scouted personally by the top ranked Gladiator in the world, Aurelius Riddle.

Aurelius took Eligius under his wing and trained him personally as his protege. Together they worked on improving Eligius and turning him into a prodigy never seen before. When he was fifteen, he was welcomed into the faction known as Tower of Babel, the top-ranked faction in the world. And from there he has established himself as one of the leaders of the next generation of Wargames.
