About
Kenny Breida on the surface is just a layabout, living in the Red Dragon Dojo in Kanagawa, wasting his days away playing video games and sleeping. But the truth is, there is much more to who Kenny is, or at least was.
When Kenny developed his Godsend, his parents had passed, and so seeing him competing in the unsanctioned leagues, Kensei Hikari essentially adopted him. He raised Kenny as his own, taking him in as a second son and older brother to his youngest son, Toshiro.
Unfortunately, an incident occurred early in Kenny’s career, forcing him to step away from the sport. But Kensei continued to play the role of a father figure in Kenny’s life and so Kenny felt that he owed Kensei a great debt. It was because of this that Kenny took Kensei’s untimely death so badly.
Upon his death, Kenny became a recluse, hiding himself away and wallowing in his own depression, and leaving for Australia. It took years for him to slowly step out of his shell and return to Japan. But upon his return, he reconnected with his best friend Katsuyori whom he helps to train, keeping himself in good shape in the process.
