Rokuro Tamashi was born in Yamanashi, Japan to one of the strongest families that the sport of Wargames had ever seen. The Tamashi family was royalty over the two-hundred years that Wargames had existed and one of their members, Tetsu, took it upon himself to do something that had never been done before. And that was to create a faction of five members of the same family.

And so, Tetsu fathered five siblings, Shinsuke, Junsui, Mei, Teicho and Kotomi, all to different mothers to grant them different Godsends. However, he did not plan for the birth of a sixth child to his wife and mother of his first child. The birth of this child, Rokuro, killed his mother, the woman that Tetsu truly loved, and not for the sake of Wargames

Rokuro was welcomed as one of the family at first, however as he grew, it soon became apparent that he did not possess a Godsend. This weakness and inability to fit into Tetsu’s plan, coupled with the death of his wife drove Tetsu mad. He took out this anger on Rokuro directly, showering him with years of abuse, even threatening his other children into joining in.

Mercifully it came to an end when Rokuro turned thirteen, and he was given an apartment in the Purgory (the slums of Kanagawa) where he was paid a measly allowance to live until he was eighteen and old enough to fend for himself. And it is in this rundown, crumbling apartment that Kuro still resides aimlessly.
