Description
In the summer of 2443, as the moon hung high in the night sky, unspeakable horrors ravaged the rebuilding city of Denver. Two of the city’s most prominent families are torn apart in a single night of violence, leaving survivors hospitalised, homes drenched in blood, and two children—Colter Cassidy and Taralynn Page—missing from the gory scene.
The suspects of the bloodbath are a nomadic commune of vagrants known as the Righteous Condemned. They live as animals, wandering aimlessly through the Great Plains of America—fuelled by narcotics in search of spiritual awakening. But rumours surrounding the cult speak of something even worse lurking within their communities. A terrifying substance known as wendi, capable of twisting minds into a feral, murderous frenzy.
Hearing of the tragedy that had befallen his family, nineteen-year-old Hunter Cassidy returns from his life of bloodsport in Japan as a Gladiator. Realising that his brother has been taken, he vows to hunt down the culprits and bring them to a violent justice.
Hunter sets off on a quest of burning vengeance as he fights to fulfil a promise to his comatose mother of returning Colter into her arms. But this path leads him to waking nightmares that would have any grown man running for the hills. As the inferno rages around him, Hunter is left with the weight of his world upon his shoulders.
A train filled with the most feared mercenaries to walk the planet, led by the physical embodiment of death. A drug that turns people into wild, cannibalistic beasts. And a king and queen with designs on burning Denver to the ground in the name of reparations.
Hunter Cassidy is riding straight through the gates of hell.
